Just Dough brings traditional Man Tou (steamed buns) to a whole new level! They’ll brighten up your morning with their colourful dough colours! Now now, before you think that the colours are made from artificial colourings, the buns are all natural and healthy! All the ingredients used are made from natural ingredients. The buns get their bright colours from ingredients such as matcha (Green), Chilli Juice (Orange), Charcoal (Black) etc. There are also wholemeal options for customers looking for a healthier option.

Not to mention, they have unusually delicious flavours such as Sweet Potato Mantou, Wolfberry Mantou, Pumpkin Salted Egg and Banana Choco! They have dine-in or takeaway options available, just simply heat the buns up for 10 mins if you’ve decided to have it in the comfort of your own house! With these cheap, filling, yummy and healthy breakfast options, they’re sure to kick the morning blues away!

2. Muyoo+ ($4.60 – $5.90)

You might know Muyoo+ as a cheese tea brand, but they recently they introduced these breads that are so pretty they should be illegal. They offer over 30 types of bread and all of them look like they just walked out of a Japanese Anime. The bread is flavourful and fluffy, a bite of this definitely goes perfectly well with a morning tea.

Muyoo+ has breads of different flavours, such as their Durian Lava and Salted Egg Lava Bread. Their Hot Crabby and Ori Octoki also cutely resembles sea animals, you might not even bear to eat them!

Their Rainbow Wand Series is one to die for! With fresh fruits and custard cream, you can taste goodness and happiness all in a single bite. They have flavours such as strawberry, mango, grapes, and Oreo cheese! Tastes good and looks good in your Instagram feed, what more can you ask for?

3. Brotherbird Milk & Croissants ($3 – $6)

Brotherbird Croissants might be the new croissant rave in the market. With its unique flavours and insta-worthy appearance, this breakfast might just be your favourite! Brotherbird takes French pastry to a new level of deliciousness, and not just a simple croissant you find in Giant.

Their croissants are not very big so you can take the chance to try their many different flavours. Sometimes, they even sold out so fast that you’ll need to make a reservation in order to have a taste of their goodness. Brotherbird Croissants are probably most known for their mochi croissants, where they use glutinous rice flour as their croissant mix. Their croissants are flavourful and if you’re looking for a kick in your taste buds, you can give them a try!

Some of their interesting flavours are Matcha White Chocolate Mochi, Lemon Meringue, Kinder Bueno, Fruity Pebbles and their newest weekend addition, Taro Milk Tea Mochi Croissants! The prices range from $3-$6 so you won’t burn a hole in your pocket! The only danger is probably wanting more…

4. Carpenter and Cook’s Cruffins ($4.80)

This artisanal cafe has been around the block for 5 years now, Well-known for its fresh bakes and yummy-in-your-tummy tarts, Carpenter and Cook’s has never failed anyone who’s looking for some comfort treats.

Their croissants are a buttery wholesome bite, and this time they have something called “Cruffins”, the descendant of a croissant and muffin. Imagine the first flaky bite into the pastry, and slowly you reach the soft and fluffy body. The buttery sweet taste envelops your mouth as you chew further, wanting yet another bite!

Carpenter and Cook’s cruffins come in 3 different flavors: Nutella, Lavender (Occasionally), Salted Caramel and Mixed Berries ($4.80). As you bite into the cruffins, the sweet fillings will overflow, so be careful! If you’re looking for brunch or a light treat, then this is the place for you!

5. Nayuki 奈雪的茶

Nayuki is a famous cheese tea chain in China, with almost 200 stores countrywide! And this time around, they hit the shores and opened their first store in Singapore at Vivo City!  The owners are lovebirds who wanted to modernise the tea-drinking culture among youngsters. So, they decided to merge the idea of tea and a bakery together. The idea was a hit in China.

Their breads are soft euro bakes that look and taste soft and fluffy on your tastebuds, and not to mention their massive size! You could split the bread for breakfast the next day, and ain’t that a money saver plan? Their breads are at a slightly pricier range but it’s definitely worth a try as you can portion them for numerous meals! You’ll definitely want more after the first bite!

They come in interesting flavours such as Durian, Matcha Mochi, Chocolate Sesame, Oreo Fresh Cream and many more! Prices range from $3 – $7.80.
